We keep this simple because our site is simple. Here's what we collect, why, and what we do with it.

What we collect

Contact form. If you fill out the contact form on our site, we collect what you give us: your name, email address, and whatever you tell us about your project. That's it. Every field is something you typed.

Email. If you email us, we keep the correspondence — the same way anyone keeps email.

Server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information when you visit — things like your IP address, browser type, and pages requested. We use this only for security and to keep the site running. We don't use it to identify or track you.

What we don't collect

• We don't use analytics tools.
• We don't use advertising or marketing trackers.
• We don't use cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking.
• We don't buy contact lists or use visitor-identification services.
• We don't track your activity over time or across other websites, so browser "Do Not Track" signals don't change how our site operates.

If that changes — for example, if we add analytics someday — we'll update this policy first.

How we use your information

We use the information you send us to respond to your inquiry and, if we end up working together, to provide our services and manage the relationship. That's the whole list.

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing just because you contacted us.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information. Ever.

We use a small number of service providers to run the business — website hosting, email, and form handling. They process information as needed to provide and secure those services.

We would disclose personal information if required by law — a subpoena or court order — or if necessary to enforce a contract.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and client information as long as we need it to serve you, plus a reasonable period afterward in case you come back. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, ask — see below.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you. Email us at hello@outboard.tech and we'll take care of it. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights; we'll honor requests in accordance with applicable law.

Children

Our site and services are for businesses and the people who run them. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Links to other sites

If we link to another site, their privacy practices are theirs, not ours. Check their policies.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, and limiting the information we collect is one of the ways we reduce risk.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes (like adding analytics) will be reflected here before they take effect.
